Welcome to the website of the BA (Hons) Photography course at Birmingham City University, a course centred around our students and dedicated to their success.

Based in one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the UK, the course embraces creative, theoretical and technical knowledge to deliver an outstanding student experience. Our students have gone on to national and international success in photography and a range of related disciplines.

Employability is a key element of the course. Through practical employability sessions and industry advice we encourage and enable students so that their careers are already underway upon leaving the course.

Students learn using industry standard facilities. Our photographic studios, from full coves to product spaces, have hosted professional shoots for internationally-renowned photographers. We also have a darkroom, hires and loans, extensive digital printing facilities, a traditional print room, TV studios, green screen studio, video editing suites and more!
